Frequently asked questions
What is a masked Aadhaar?
A copy where the first 8 digits of the Aadhaar number are hidden and only the last 4 are visible. UIDAI recommends sharing a masked Aadhaar wherever the full number is not legally required.
Should I also hide the QR code?
The QR code on newer Aadhaar cards contains your details, so cover it too if you are hiding personal information.
