Frequently asked questions
Which format should I use?
Use JPG for photos when you need maximum compatibility, PNG for graphics with sharp edges or transparency, and WebP or AVIF for the smallest files on websites.
Why does my transparent PNG get a white background as JPG?
JPG does not support transparency. Choose the background colour you want, or convert to PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The image is processed by your own browser. It never leaves your phone or computer, so it is safe for ID photos and personal pictures.
