How do I find the area of an irregular plot?
Measure all four sides and one diagonal. The diagonal splits the plot into two triangles, and each triangle’s area is found with Heron’s formula.
How do I calculate area in square feet?
For a rectangle, multiply length by width in feet. A 40 ft × 30 ft plot is 1,200 sq ft, which is 133.3 square yards.
