Frequently asked questions
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Rates come from ExchangeRate-API and are updated once a day. They are mid-market rates, the midpoint between buy and sell prices.
Why is my bank’s rate different?
Banks, card networks and money transfer services add a margin to the mid-market rate and may charge fees. Expect to receive 1–3% less than the mid-market amount.
Does the converter work offline?
Yes. The latest rates are stored in your browser, so you can convert without internet. The page shows when the rates were last updated.
