Frequently asked questions
Does trimming reduce quality?
Not in Fast mode, which copies the original video data without re-encoding. Exact mode re-encodes the clip so it can start on any frame.
Why does my clip start slightly early?
In Fast mode a cut can only start at a keyframe, which is usually less than two seconds apart. Choose Exact frame for a precise start.
How do I make a 30-second WhatsApp status?
Set the end time to 30 seconds after the start, then trim. WhatsApp statuses accept clips up to about a minute, depending on the app version.
